One of Chicago's greatest strengths is its architecture. This is a photo I took of one of the great examples of architecture here, the north half of the Monadnock Building designed by John Wellborn Root. It was the first major building built without ornamentation, and oddly enough may well be named after a mountain visible from my hometown.
